Trainer Tracy here. I’m tired, I’m hungry, and my toddler wants my undivided attention. Time to grab a quick smoothie snack from the fridge! Several of you asked for my go-to smoothie recipe. It’s not fancy, but for me it does the trick. It freezes well and I almost always have the ingredients on hand. The following recipe makes 6-7 smoothies that fit into my smaller 12oz containers (read more about those here).
– large handful of fresh spinach, or half a bag of frozen spinach
– 1 cup triple berry blend (thawed from frozen – raspberry, blueberry, blackberry)
– 2 cups strawberries (thawed from frozen)
– 1 banana
– 6 or 7 servings vanilla or chocolate protein powder
– Glob of honey to taste (sweetness tastes vary! I typically omit when using chocolate protein)
– 1 to 2 cups water depending on desired consistency
